The McDonald Series wines are an expression of both their fruit and the vision of their namesake winemaker. This full-bodied wine is packed with layers of rich berry fruit, cassis and dark cacao notes, along with lifted cedar and thyme aromas. While impressive now, the powerful yet fine-grained tannin structure ensures great longevity. This wine is unfined and unfiltered to preserve quality. Some precipitate may form with time and decanting is recommended.

Named in honour of Gwen, the Wife of Tom McDonald, father of Church Road. Gwen explores a more elegant and refined style of winemaking. Gwen Rosé is an off dry and finely textured Syrah rosé with subtle red fruit, floral notes, spice, and an underlying creaminess. On the palate, gentle acidity and a slatey minerality make this a sophisticated drink that will work well as an aperitif or as a versatile food wine. A great match with a range of fresh salads, seafood, poultry, and cold cuts.

Found in 1897, Church Road combines traditional winemaking techniques with modern thinking and innovation to craft premium, complex wines. This creamy textured Hawke's Bay Chardonnay is unashamedly just a little bit old school. Ripe peach, tropical fruit and fragrant citrus notes are enhanced by toasty oak, wild fermentation, full malolactic and regular yeast lees string. This approach delivers layers of flavour reminiscent of toasted brioche, roasted hazelnut and sizzle butter.

This semi sweet red wine gains its characteristic rich sparkle through the fermentation achieved with the 'charmat method'. Ruby red in colour. Lambrusco is fresh and fruity, savoury and aromatic, perfect with pizza and other pasta meals.

Brillant rosé colour; pleasant fresh nose; smooth mellow and fruity taste. Perfect as an aperitif or with snacks, salads and ice-cream.

Straw-yellow colour with light shades of green. To the palate it offers a pleasant acidity followed by a good aromatic aftertaste. Fine and persistent pelage that enhances to the nose distinctive white-pulp fruit aromas and light floral notes.
